London-focused UK broadband operator G.Network, which claims to have built their FTTP (XGS-PON) network footprint to cover 420,000 premises across the city (395k RFS), has today followed our earlier report by launched two new multi-gigabit residential broadband products – HomePro3 and HomePro10 – offering symmetrical speeds of up to 2.5Gbps and 8.5Gbps respectively.
Just to recap. G.Network, which originally aspired to expand their full fibre lines to cover 1.3 million premises in London, came out of a brief period of administration in March 2026 on a “debt-free, well-capitalised, growth-oriented footing“ (here); this occurred after they were acquired by distressed debt specialist FitzWalter Capital (here and here).
Since then the company has been focused on improving the business and greater commercialisation, which includes the need to stay competitive with rival networks in the same space (e.g. CommunityFibre recently launched an 8.5Gbps tier in London too, albeit only over the phone). On this front G.Network claims to have offered 8.5Gbps connections to “high-end residential property” in the capital for years and has today made these fully available to order on their website.
