Infracapital-backed alternative network and UK ISP Fibrus, which has built their own full fibre broadband infrastructure across rural parts of Cumbria (England) and Northern Ireland, has responded to TalkTalk’s recent difficulties by offering the provider’s customers a special deal to switch (i.e. those within their network patch).
For TalkTalk customers still in contract, Fibrus said they’re offering up to £400 towards any early termination fees they might incur due to their current broadband contract (i.e. if they try to leave early to join Fibrus) and a special rental discount. TalkTalk customers who want to take this merely need to visit their custom Choose Fibrus page (affiliate link) – this offer will continue running until 13th Dec 2026.
Fibrus’ full fibre network is currently home to a total of 155,000 customers and covers 471,800 premises passed, so it’s likely that only a smaller portion of TalkTalk’s remaining consumer base will be within reach.
