Barely a week has passed since Starlink (SpaceX) adopted dynamic pricing on its residential ultrafast broadband plans in the UK (e.g. 100Mbps speeds from c.£32 to £40 per month) and this week the satellite operator has followed that up by announcing a further discount of 30% for the whole of November 2026 – on both their home and roaming plans.

At present Starlink has an overall total of c.11,210 satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for both broadband and roaming mobile services – mostly at altitudes of between c.340-550km (you can only take their mobile service in the UK via O2 Satellite for £3). Residential users in the UK typically pay from c.£32-40 a month (dynamic pricing) for their 100Mbps unlimited data plan, which also promises uploads of c.15-35Mbps and low latency connectivity (sub-50ms). Faster speeds are available at extra cost.

However, this morning we’ve awoken to an email from Starlink, which begins with the headline – “30% Off Starlink Residential and Roam Service for November” (i.e. ends 30th November 2026). Below that is a picture and a short disclaimer: “30% discount applies to Residential and Roam service in eligible areas of the U.K. only. Pricing applies for as long as your subscription remains active. Performance and pricing may vary by location.”
