Samsung and VMO2 begin live 4G/5G deployments
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Virgin Media O2 announced today the companies have successfully completed the deployment of multiple live 4G and 5G sites in the U.K., advancing the next phase of their collaboration. Towards the end of 2021, Deutsche Telekom’s CEO, Timotheus Höttges, announced during an investor conference that he was interested in finding a partner for the company’s tower business, with media reports later suggesting that a stake sale in the unit was imminent.
