Ericsson partners Malaysia's upcoming national network to help educate students on 5G

This collaboration will enable UTM students to participate and contribute to the country’s digital economy and Industry 4.0 transformation.
 
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the three parties, Ericsson will open its Ericsson Educate platform to UTM students to provide access to learning material on key technologies. Select subjects covered at an introductory level include: 5G networks, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, blockchain, cloud computing, data science, IoT and telecommunications.

TIM mulls new CEO as KKR invites Saudi wealth fund to join takeover bid

Indian govt to become Vodafone Idea’s largest stakeholder

Today, Vodafone Idea has announced that it has agreed for the Indian government to become its largest stakeholder, handing over a 35.8% stake as part of an emergency bailout plan. 
The deal agrees to convert the interest that Idea owes the government, related to spectrum and adjusted gross revenue (AGR) payments, into equity. Though unconfirmed by the Department of Telecommunications, this interest is likely worth around $2.2 billion.
