The ITS Technology Group, which has deployed various open access and business-focused Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband ISP and Ethernet networks across parts of the UK, has today announced that 9 of the 13 new full fibre deployment locations (towns and cities) they announced earlier this year have started to go live for customers.
Just to recap. Back in June 2026 ITS revealed the “next phase” of investment in its national network, which included a plan to expand their high-capacity fibre network to reach businesses in Coventry, Huddersfield, Loughborough, Aberdeen, Bath, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Exeter, Plymouth, Southampton and Swansea – these were due to go live in phases between July and October 2026.
The provider has today confirmed that the first nine locations, including Aberdeen, Bath, Bournemouth, Chester, Coventry, Huddersfield, Loughborough, Plymouth and Swansea, are now Ready for Service (RFS). Meanwhile, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, and Southampton are due to follow by the end of the year.
