Customers of Sky’s broadband-based Sky Glass and Sky Stream pay TV streaming devices and service can now benefit from a “major upgrade” to the supporting Sky Go video streaming app, which takes its visual inspiration (User Interface) from the look and feel of Sky OS (software that powers Glass/Stream) and has added a bunch of new features.

The Sky Go app, which is included at no extra cost alongside a Sky TV subscription (Sky Mobile customers can also stream on the go without using their mobile data – FUP), appears to have been refreshed and expanded in order to make it easier for users to “move between TV, mobile, and tablet without losing their place“.

Most of the changes appear to reflect UI improvements, such as via the use of a simple new navigation bar that puts Home, the TV Guide, My Library, Sport, and Search within easy reach. But there’s also now full HD (1080p) streaming and the ability to set live TV recordings while out etc.
