Some customers of broadband ISP Onestream, specifically those who were bulk migrated from Cuckoo after the customer base was sold in May 2026 and previously had a static IP address (here), have complained after they were put on CGNAT (IP address sharing) connections and given mixed messages about future static IP support.
According to some of the feedback ISPreview has seen, impacted customers were initially told that Onestream was aware of the issue and working to resolve it, although at least one support agent speculated that this might require subscribers to agree a new contract. We should point out that Cuckoo currently still seems to be handling most of the support responses for migrated customers, which is a little unusual.
One of our readers, Michael, who was affected by the same issue, then lodged a complaint over the matter and was this week told by the ISP that “we do not currently offer IP addresses without CGNAT … we understand that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we regret any disappointment this may cause.” The reply did not mention any plans to introduce the missing feature.
