Mobile operator giffgaff, which is controlled by Telefónica UK (part of the VMO2 Group) and uses O2’s virtual network platform, has today begun offering up to six times more data on two of their Pay Monthly SIM-only plans – £8 a month will now get you 40GB of data (up from 6GB), while £10 will get you 80GB (up from 25GB).
Both of the aforementioned plans typically come attached to an 18-month minimum contract term, unlimited calls and texts, free EU roaming up to 5GB for data (mobile broadband) and 5G mobile support. New customers can also continue to take their unlimited mobile data (mobile broadband) plan for just £14 per month.
Apparently the £10 plan promotion will be running until 30th October 2026, while the £8 plan offer is running until 4th December. Kate Dohaney, CEO at giffgaff, said: “People are using more data, particularly over the summer, and we want to make sure our plans keep giving members good value as those needs change. So we’re boosting the data on our £8 and £10 plans, alongside unlimited data from £14.”
