Eastbourne-based broadband ISP Lightning Fibre, which is deploying a full fibre (FTTP) network across Sussex and Kent in England (they also hold a partnership to use CityFibre’s UK network – here), has revealed that they’ve recently expanded their fibre network to reach a further 2,500 premises across five locations in the two counties.

The latest network expansion is said to cover homes in St Leonards, Hastings, Eastbourne, Hailsham and Tenterden, with many of the newly available properties being apartments and flats (MDUs). It’s not uncommon for network operators to miss out MDUs on the first pass because gaining access to such buildings can still be a slow and complex process, which the government is trying to improve.

The brief progress update comes shortly after the provider unveiled some early Black Friday discounts for new customers.
