Earlier this year ISPreview reported on how customers of internet provider iTalk (iTalk Affiliate Telecommunications) had been complaining about protracted service outages and a lack of support (here), while others claimed the provider tried to push them on to a new contract as a way of resolving the issues. Sadly the company now appears to be falling into administration.
We first got wind that something might be up over the bank holiday weekend, when sources within the industry notified us that they’d seen a sudden and unexpected influx of customer switches from iTalk. At the time we couldn’t find any feedback to help confirm the cause, although Thinkbroadband has just spotted that iTalk filed a notice to appoint an administrator on 28th August 2026 (here).
Administration often occurs when a company, such as one that is in financial difficulty, is put into the hands of an administrator. The administrator then decides whether they can help the company to continue running or sell it off for a good price.
